Service for Golden Eagle Widow Rita Knott
 

Funeral Service for Rita Knott, widow of Golden Eagle CAPT Zebulon V. “Zeb” KNOTT Jr., USN (Ret), will be held on 4 Nov 2026 at 1000 at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC). Rita passed on 30 Aug 2025 in her hometown of Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Rita and Zeb met in 1965, married in 1970, and enjoyed 47 years of marriage before Zeb’s Last Take Off in Jun 2017. The procession will begin at the ANC Administrative Building (200 King Dr., Arlington, Virginia), and a graveside service is planned with Rita’s burial with her beloved Zeb. A brunch reception will follow at the Spates Hall Conference Center aboard Joint Base Myer-Henderson (214 McNair Road, Fort Myer, Virginia). RSVP is requested for brunch to Kate (KJLuton@aim.com) by 15 Oct 2026.
