Services for Vice Admiral Howie THORSEN, USCG (Ret)
 

Gentlemen,
 
Golden Eagle VADM THORSEN'S family is having a service followed by his inurnment on 30 October 2026 at the US Coast Guard Academy Chapel and Columbarium in New London, Connecticut  The service will begin at 3 p.m.
 
Following the service and inurnment, a sit-down dinner reception will be held at the USCG Academy Consolidated Club, where all can continue sharing memories and celebrating his life and legacy. To assist with planning the reception, kindly send your RSVP no later than 1 October to CelebratingHowie@gmail.com.
 
Your RSVP should include the following: name(s), email address, attending only the service or attending the service and dinner. If the latter then please select meal: beef, chicken, vegetarian, any food allergy and your Golden Eagle affiliation.
 
After receiving your RSVP, additional details regarding the schedule, parking on campus, arrival instructions and hotel information will be provided.
