The United States of America's 250th Birthday
 

Gentlemen,
 
On this very special year and this very special month and on this very special day American’s are celebrating our nation’s 250th birthday! As has been evidenced to this point in the year there are many Americans and others who are publicly recognizing this wonderful and amazing achievement!
 
We are so fortunate to have been born or immigrated to this country and have been able to serve this country in its military whether Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard. And as Naval Aviators we all have been able to fly all over our country and throughout the world which allows us to see how special our nation is.
 
I hope you are able to celebrate this very special day with family and friends. It is one small day in our lives but such a great day for the advancement of freedom in the world. We often take the opportunities our country provides for granted but today make sure you remember them and share those thoughts with family and friends.
 
Thank you all and thanks to your spouses and families for allowing us to do what we have done in uniform over the last many decades.
