Vi was born on December 7, 1922 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, RADM Edward L. “Whitey” Feightner, USN (Ret), a sister, Imay Jewel Blachly of Omaha, NE, and a nephew, Jim (Deb) McBride of Mount Vernon, OH, and 5 nieces, Karene Salsbury of Lima, OH, Barbara Burnet of Lakeland, FL, Donna Holcomb of Belleville, IL, Linda Lingle and Jann Thomas of Woodland Park, CO.
Vi was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Voltz and Laura Blachly along with two brothers, Raymond Voltz and Fred Blachly, and a sister, Clara Morgan.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Vi’s life was held Friday March 13, 2015 at Lasater Funeral Home, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road in Mount Vernon. The family requests that donations in Violet’s name be given to a charity of your choice or to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, 875 N.
